Today is Day 2 on our NOURISHMENT journey and this is one of my absolute favorites: SLEEP.
Sleep is part of the natural rhythm of Yin and Yang in the body.
Yin represents passive forces while Yang represents active forces. It’s such an essential part of our lives. It’s not only a form of rest but a physiological function that helps our body recharge and perform at its best.
Although there are times that I can become sleep deprived (we all do from time to time), I value my sleep! I value it so much that last year I finally bought the KING bed of my dreams from Pottery Barn, dressed her up with pretty linens and a beautiful comforter set, and every night I can’t wait to dive in!
I know there’s conflicting information out there about how much sleep we actually need every night. But as with all things, I say listen to your individual body. One thing that I consistently strive for is getting to bed before 11 pm, ideally 10 pm, every night.
Tonight won’t be any different.
So, how are you with sleep?
If I were to call you tonight at 11 or 12 o’clock, would you still be up? Let’s work on that! Commit to an earlier bedtime tonight. Make it happen and let me know tomorrow how it worked out for you, deal?
Get your ZZZ’s on!
