Having a long-term goal like “I want to lose 40lbs by Christmas” is great, but can sometimes feel overwhelming and far off.
What works much better for most people is to set mini-goals. Not only are they less overwhelming, mini-goals are easier to achieve and really help in creating healthier habits for the big win!
A big task is easier to accomplish if done in smaller chunks.
I like to set mini WEEKLY goals that have NOTHING to do with weight loss. So for instance, setting a goal to eat 5 plant-based meals this week will keep you focused on choosing more vegetables/fruits in your diet, therefore increasing your nutrition while reducing calories.
You’ll also have more energy, start to feel better physically & emotionally, and all the whilel creating a win-win for yourself!
So remember: breaking that big goal into small weekly goals will help you stay on track, in more ways than one.
