It’s your thoughts about them and why they’re not working that cause the big fail.


Remember, your thoughts control how you feel. And your feelings dictate your actions (or lack thereof).

It’s the reason why you may have tried everything, and nothing’s worked. Or you achieved success, and then you backslid into former habits.

Too often we plan so far ahead, we lose focus on what’s happening right here and now.


Do you ever feel like that? You’re probably a planner, and pretty good at it too.


You plan out your yearly goals in January (or even start in December). You break it all down into quarterly/monthly/weekly/ daily goals.


You’re a rockstar at how to get it all done. That is…for everything and everyone else.


But let’s get you into rockstar status for yourself, starting today.


It’s as simple as focusing on living in the present moment and limiting your thoughts of the past or future.


This doesn’t mean you chuck everything to the wind and become a nomad.


It means you become intentional with your plans and everyday focus only on the day at hand.

  • You don’t worry about what could happen tomorrow


You focus on doing everything you committed to doing TODAY.


Did you commit to walking 30 minutes after work? Keep that commitment to yourself.


Did you commit to preparing dinner for yourself, instead of getting takeout? Keep that commitment to yourself.


Did you commit to going to bed earlier so you can get a good night’s sleep. Keep that commitment to yourself.


When you focus on the day at hand, and keep your commitments to yourself (just as you keep those commitments to others, eh-hem…), you get the results you want.


You don’t get results by wishing. You get them by doing. The more you do for yourself, the more your confidence grows. And your level of commitment grows, too!
